Review: Bath and Body Works Aromatherapy - Pillow Mist in Lavender Chamomile

Hey Dolls!

WHO?: This product was for me, myself and I. :D

WHAT?: Lavender Chamomile Aromatherapy Pillow Mist

WHERE?: Bath and Body Works @ my local mall. Holyoke Mall at Ingleside.

WHEN?: Tuesday, August 16, 2011. I've owned this product for 3 days.

WHY?: I was having problems relaxing before bed and actually being able to fall asleep and stay asleep. I heard of aromatherapy and decided I wanted to try. I got on Google and found this pillow mist among all of the search results and decided to give it a try.

My first thoughts when I found this product was how cute the packaging was and how much product you're actually getting for $10. I then tested out the scents since I couldn't decide whether I wanted the Lavender Vanilla or the Lavender Chamomile one. When it comes to body products, I'm a huge fan of vanilla scent in general because it's so pure, soft, girly and it lasts. That being said, I limit how much product I put on myself whether it's a body spray, a lotion or anything else due to the simple fact that sometimes vanilla tends to make me dizzy. I couldn't imagine falling asleep to vanilla, haha. So YES, I went with the chamomile which I must say I am very happy with. I noticed a difference in how fast I fall asleep and how much I actually sleep.

How does this product work? Every night before you go to sleep, spray the mist on your pillow a few times. 2 or 3 times is enough, I'd say. Then, once you rest your head down, you should take a few deep breaths in. Simple as that! From here on, you just sit and wait to fall asleep. (:

Was this product worth buying? Let's cut to the chase here... Yes, this product is amazing!

Would you repurchase this product? Yes, if I ran out or was even running low, I'd make a trip to the mall just for this product!<3 How much was this product? $10! Extremely affordable.

Would you recommend this to others? Yes! However, keep in mind that now everyone is the same and although this product may work for some, it might not work for ALL.

Aromatherapy?

Hey everyone! So, I don't sleep at all. I literally go to sleep late everynight. 4am being the earliest! It's just ridiculous, don'tcha think?

I was wondering, has anyone ever tried aromatherapy in any way, shape or form? Lol. I've been knowing about pillow mists and such from Bath and Body Works but never gave it a go. I'm finally certain that I want to purchase.

This comes in Lavender Chamomile and Lavender Vanilla. It also comes in pillow mists, body lotion, oils, body mists and shower gel forms.

Does this really work? Let me know what you think.

My Vacation to Peru!

Hello Dolls,

I know it's been a while. My last post was in January. Wow! That was almost 4 months ago. Well, I'm back and here's why I was away for so long. My birthday is in January and sort of as a birthday gift, I was taken to Peru where I spent a month with my boyfriend and his family. I had a blast and I have to say that Peru is one of the most beautiful places I've EVER been to! I returned to the states in mid March. I then spent a week in New Jersey with my boyfriend. I returned home to Massachusetts in early April. As soon as I got back home, I was busy looking for a job and attempting to return to school. Although not many people read my blog, I just thought I'd update it for those who do.

Here are some pictures of places and things I got to see in Peru!

Monterico, Peru

Beach at Larco Mar, Peru

A bear from the zoo. <3

An old pyramid built by the Inca's.

Me at the Cathedral in Lima, Peru

A tiger at the zoo. <3

The President of Peru's House.

Me in Miraflores, Peru after a night of clubbing.

Hope you enjoy the pictures. If you'd like to see more, let me know. Thank you!(:

Sigma Affiliate Program

Hey everyone!(:

So, a few days ago, I logged onto Twitter. Sigma had tweeted that they had an affiliate program and were looking for people to sign up. Of course, I went and read their blog post all about it and yes, i decided to go for it! The process was pretty brief. However, there are some pieces of information you will need to know, if not known already. These are:

1) First and Last name, of course!
2) A valid email address
3) A website of some sort *even if it's just a blog*
4) The last four of your social security number
5) A PayPal account with a linked bank account (debit/credit, checking/savings)

So, why the PayPal? Well, of course you need a way to get your commission money! Now, if you are under any circumstances, unable to create a PayPal account, no worries! You can still do this! How? Easy! You can still sign up as an affiliate but rather than being paid commission, you will get to pick out Sigma brushes, equivalent to the amount you earned that month.

Come on! It's easy and personally, I think that "selling" a company or something that you like or love is fun! YES, FUN!(:

Well, that's all for now. If you have a question regarding the Sigma Affiliate Program, click here!

Take care!

Insomnia Sucks.

Hey everyone.(:

So, Insomnia? Do you have trouble sleeping? I swear, for the past year or so, I've been having trouble sleeping. As you can tell, It's 3:21am and honestly, I'm very much awake even though i rather be knocked out. I'm so grumpy and mean when I'm restless or simply just haven't had great sleep. Insomnia can take a huge toll on your life. I believe that I suffer from this condition, solely because I have had trouble sleeping for the past year. Not one single morning have I been able to say "I feel energized" or that "I slept like a baby". My sleep patterns have been horrible and all screwed up for the past year or so.

What's insomnia? Well, for starters, Insomnia is difficulty getting to sleep or staying asleep, or even having non-refreshing sleep for a certain time period. Usually about a month.

How many types of Insomnia are there? There are two. These are Primary and Secondary Insomnia. Primary refers to Insomnia that is not caused by physical or mental conditions. Secondary is caused by a medical condition. Depression is a very common cause for Secondary Insomnia and in most cases the reason why people seek medical help. Some very common causes of Insomnia are: Alcohol, Anxiety, Coffee and Stress.

Symptoms: Difficulty falling asleep, feeling tired during the day or falling asleep during daytime, not feeling refreshed when you wake up and waking up several times during your sleep.

Now, there are ways of treating Insomnia without seeking medical help. You can do so by: avoding caffeine, alcohol and/or nicotine before bed, refraining from daytime naps, eating at regular times each day while avoiding larger meals before bedtime, exercising atleast 2 hours throughout the day, setting a bedtime and sticking to it everyday.

If you think your condition has become chronic or is uncontrollable, I suggest seeing your doctor for further treatment. Avoid taking sleeping pills unless prescribed by your doctor.

This is all of my own knowledge so don't quote me as I am not a doctor. Hope this helps for most of you who come across it.(:

Makeup Haul + First Video!

Hey everyone!(:

So, today I got two packages in the mail. One was from e.l.f. and the other was from Hautelook. I ordered a few things from both these companies. From Hautelook I bought a few Urban Decay items and of course I loved them. For those of you who don't know, I am purely obsessed with Urban Decay. It's my favorite makeup brand EVER! That being said, I made a haul video which is going to be posted on YouTube within a few minutes. The quality of my video isn't the best but it's okay and can still be watched. I said that I would post the swatches on here for a better view. So yeah, here they go!

From left to right: Ink For Eyes in Loaded, Loose Pigment in Shattered, Loose pigment in Asphyxia, Eyeshadow in Chronic and Eyeshadow in Narcotic.

The pigments were so beautiful. Definetely worth the $20. Better yet, I got them for $2.00 from Hautelook.com!

Now, everything that I picked up from Urban Decay was $2 as they had a huge sale.

Now, for the e.l.f haul, here are the swatches!

From top right: Brightening Eyes Quad in Nouveau Neutrals. Bottom: Top one is the Shimmering Facial Whip in Goddess Peach. Bottom one is the All Over Color Stick in Pink Lemonade.

These are dirt cheap products that are worth getting. I am in love with the pigmentation of the color stick. You can use it on your eyes, cheeks and even lips. I'll be using this a whole lot. I am a blush freak!(:
